Duration: 4 Days

Join us on a 4-day Guided tour through the scenic wonders of Northern Tasmania. Each day offers a new adventure amidst breathtaking landscapes and local hospitality.

Day 1 – Devonport Highlights:

Begin your journey in Devonport with a leisurely walk along the gravel track that follows the Mersey River, home to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. Have morning tea at the Maritime Centre and check out the historic Maritime Museum. You might like to challenge yourself on the Simulated Bridge and steer the Spirit of Tasmania in and dock her. Enjoy lunch onboard and an invigorating sail on the historic Julie Burgess tall ship, followed by a Lighthouse visit and bird-spotting and animal-spotting in a short bushwalk around Don Lagoon. Indulge in a delicious dinner at the renowned Italian restaurant, Verona, where you can recall the highlights of the day with your walking buddies followed by a comfortable night’s sleep in your own 4-star hotel room.

Day 2 – Springlawn Reserve to Badger Head Beach:

After a hearty cooked breakfast, we embark on a two-day coastal traverse of Narawntapu National Park commencing at Springlawn Reserve. This grassy plain is home to Forrester Kangaroos, Bennets wallabies and Tasmanian pademelons. Enjoy the cacophony of birdsong along the way including Tasmanian thornbills, wrens and yellow wattlebirds to name just a few. This 14 kilometre trek on a gently undulating track, allows walkers to soak in the majestic arc of Bakers Beach, stunning views of the lagoon and beach from Archers Knob, the colours of Copper Cove and the breathtaking beauty of Badger Head beach. After transportation to Beauty Point Tourist Park and a rest in private well-appointed cabins, we will enjoy a delicious hotel dinner at Beauty Point Waterfront hotel where there is a roaring indoor fire, billiards table, outdoor deck dining overlooking the marina and an opportunity to have a chat with the locals in a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 3 – Badgers Head to Greens Beach:

After a continental breakfast in your cabin, we start the walk at Badger Head shack community and walk along the shimmering sands to West Head lookout. Your guide will provide bird spotting, flora identification and historical interpretation along the way. After a yummy packed lunch overlooking the Bass Strait, we walk into the delightful Greens Beach community and enjoy a coffee or ice-cream at the iconic Greens Beach shop that caters for all. The group is then transported to Beauty Point Tourist Park for a rest before enjoying an authentic Aussie BBQ and a night walk in Redbill Conservation Point to spot possums, wallabies, pademelons and bandicoots.

Day 4 – Wine Tasting and Riverside Lunch:

After a relaxing breakfast and river walk, we are off to Swinging Gate Vineyard in the West Tamar Valley for a fascinating wine tasting tour. We then stop at Brady’s lookout for further photo opportunities of the gorgeous Tamar River before indulging in a scenic lunch at the iconic riverside hotel, Rosevears. After lunch, your driver/tour guide will then drop you off at your Hotel in Launceston. This concludes your 4 day guided tour of Northern Tasmania.
